Year 8 Choices Process 2024

This is the first opportunity in your school career where you are able to make choices about some of the subjects you will study. It is important that you spend time thinking carefully about your selection. There are so many fantastic subjects to choose from, but you need to make sure you pick subjects that you are going to enjoy and will be successful in.  

In Year 9 all students will study: 

English	History
Maths	Geography
Science	Religious Education (Philosophy & Ethics)
Core PE	PSHE
Spanish or French

Students will then select one creative choice and two open choices

Dance	Child Development
Drama	Computing
Media	Dance
Music	Drama
Technology- Food	French or Spanish (2nd language)
Technology- Textiles	Health & Social Care
Technology- Timber	Media
	Music
	Physical Education (theory & practical)
	Technology- Food
	Technology- Textiles
	Technology- Timber
	ASDAN (invitation only)
